Tonight, as I downloaded pictures to share with you, I had to smile. Many of them are a little blurry. They are full of action, movement, busy hands, and little chatting lips. They truly capture our first few days. As a teacher, I spend a lot of time standing back and watching the motion. The runners, the huggers, the helpers, the cleaners, the organizers, and the watchers...each participating in their own way. Yes, we are learning when to hug and when to hold our hands still. Yes, we are learning when to run and when to walk, but most of all we are learning where we fit and how our movements impact others. One thing is certain, we will always be bodies in motion. That is what preschoolers do best.

18+ years working with little people have given me an appreciation for the finer things in life: giggles, wide eyes, high fives and a good book. All signs of a great day! ArchivesCategories |
